David was recently featured in a New York Times article about the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey ShakespeareLIVE! production of Hamlet with which he is is touring as title character Hamlet. The specially abridged production with a cast of 8 tours middle and high schools, providing study guides and talkback opportunities – and there are also public opportunities to catch this production on March 6.
“On Tuesday, the ”Hamlet” troupe travels to Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston. In preparation, Shaindy Zudick, the school’s director of student activities, attended a showcase performance for teachers and came away impressed.
”The most important lines were staged beautifully, so the students got the essence of the play and the language,’ she said. ”The minimalist staging had a tremendous effect on the overall mood and atmosphere of the play. I just think it was brilliant for high school students.”

… “After the show, student questions range from ”What’s up with the tape?” to ”Why was Hamlet dressed in women’s clothes?” (He wasn’t, and besides, ”pink’s a power color,” said David Foubert, the show’s Hamlet.)
